KoreanQuest – Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the KoreanQuest app ("App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1) Who we are
KoreanQuest ("we," "us," "our") provides a mobile learning app for Korean language study.
2) Eligibility
You must be the age of majority in your jurisdiction (or have parent/guardian consent) and able to form a binding contract.
3) Your account
Accounts are optional. You're responsible for your credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized use.
4) License to use the App
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, in line with these Terms and applicable laws.
5) Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code (except where permitted by law).
- Use the App to infringe rights, harm others, or violate laws.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App or its security.
- Use bots/scrapers without our written permission.
We may investigate and act (including suspension/termination) for violations.
6) Content & intellectual property
Our content:
All lessons, UI, graphics, branding, and code belong to us or our licensors and are protected by IP laws.
Your content:
If you submit content (e.g., feedback, notes), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it to operate and improve the App; you retain ownership.
Do not use our names, logos, or marks without written permission.
7) Updates & changes
We may update or change features, and may discontinue the App (or parts) at any time.
8) Third-party services
If the App links to third-party services or libraries, those are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We aren't responsible for third-party content/services.
9) Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee learning outcomes, availability, or error-free operation.
10) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.
11) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, and costs (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of others' rights.
12) Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Upon termination, the license in Section 4 ends.
13) Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Province/State and Country], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in [Your City/Province or State], unless applicable law requires otherwise.
14) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll post the effective date and, if changes are material, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
